Just so that this does not get mis-interpreted, as a
matter of principle, I have not bought any tickets in
the raffle. I did make payments via Paypal but this
was on behalf of Canadian residents who wanted to buy
tickets. I have sent these Canadian ticket buyers
their receipt numbers and just like everyone else,
they will get their tickets in their own names.
Secondly, I have a more optimistic opinion on how many
raffle tickets are going to be sold. George Pinto is
hoping for the best but being cautious. I am of the
opinion that the the true Goans will come thru in the
last minute and make their contribution to Goa and
Goan causes. My (high?) expectations are closer to 300
tickets being sold.
Don't let us down folks. This is the first time we are
appealing to you. All of you have some interest in Goa
and now you have a way to stand up and be counted.
For those of you who find these posts about the raffle
too repetitive, my apologies. Bare with us for four
more days and you wont hear much from us again. For
those, and especially those of you who need the time
to get down on the PC and figure out how to make that
Paypal payment, this is THE weekend. Please spare 10
minutes and buy that raffle ticket. Each ticket will
count. Each ticket sold will help in a big way :-)
