Cajetan, You make it sound as if Goa makes up its mind collectively on
whom to elect in any election. If at all it's anyone's fault (and keep
in mind, the BJP has never been able to win a single election in Goa,
though it managed to rule, directly and indirectly for nearly
half-a-dozen years) it was the BJP's own fault.

For many in Goa, it is still seen (not without reason) as an
upper-caste, anti-minority political party. Some understand it's
ideology, even those who don't, know what it implies for them. The
Congress, meanwhile, is working hard to make the BJP's dream come
true. By taking the support of the very same mafia that brought the
BJP to power, and kept it there. (Both politicians and lobbies.) Media
manipulation, including cyber-manipulation, is helping in a big way,
too. If we keep trying ... we just might get there. FN
