This month's Goanet operations sponsored by Mrs. Daisy Faleiro

George,
The idea of a trust is a most worthy cause.

If we could all take up the financing of this cause with single-minded
devotion and make it as widespread as Goa Day, then we overseas Goans
will have some satisfaction of having done our bit for Goa. Otherwise
we can do nothing else but comment on what is happening there.

An opportunity has been give to us by the selfless, dedicated and
hardworking leaders and volunteers of the Save Goa Movement some of
whom we hear from, directly on Goanet and there would be no better
chance to put at least some of our money where our mouth is.

The Save Goa Movement is no guarantee that Goa will continue to be a
image of what we would like it to be in an ideal world, but as
everyone knows, it is not an ideal world and everyone has different
views of an ideal world. But as the popularity of this mass movement
shows, many of us do have a better vision of where we want Goa to go
than that planned by unscrupulous and corrupt politicians and their
fellow travelers.

Regards,
Roland.
