This is one case where I fully endorse the action taken by the Ministry of
Defense -- there is quite a scam in that the Bishop of Bombay (old
Anglican Church -- now Church of North India) is trying to sell off the
property attached to the Afghan Church -- He definitely has no right to do
so -- Church authorities (Catholic included) thiink they are a law unto
themselves -- sell off church property, originally given to the church by
government or by good Christians without taking into account the feelings or
rights and needs of the congregation.
Our church authorities are always telling the congregation to "build
mansions in heaven", but most of them, as soon as they get the authority to
manage landed property, either try to build mansions on earth and quite
often only for the benefit of themselves or their direct families without
any benefit to the congregation at large.
