Before attempting to set up Gram Nyalayas (village
Courts) and Night Courts the Goa Government should
try and streamline to optimize the productivity of
the current system of Courts.
People very often suffer at the hands of the state
because its functionaries fail to apply their minds to
the problems faced by the public.
To restrict an individuals access to courts is
virtually compromising his rights. The Supreme Court
should seriously look at the vexed problem of case
backlog. Judgments should be foolproof so that they
are not easily open to challenge. This may relieve the
pressure on our case clogged courts.
