Remo Fernandes put it well at his talk at the XCHR (Xavier Centre for
Historical Research) on March 1 .. though Cecil Pinto is bound to
disagree.

Remo said: "One party is CORRUPT. The other party (of the Big Two that
dominate Goan politics) is communal AND corrupt." Someone else also
brought in the issue of smaller, regional parties pretending to be the
"solution", by noting that once they were elected, they were "up for
grabs, for sale (to the highest bidder)."

Let's not pretend solutions here are easy, or that we can get answers
from our first-past-the-post electoral system based on representative
democracy (where our representatives are very unrepresentative
