I'd like to second this very strongly. Just earlier today, I happened to
wonder myself over how many of us could even imagine how much time,
trouble, sweat and expenses JoeGoaUk expends, to record, process and
disseminate all this work of his.

>From his coverage, it's very clear that that JoeGoaUk goes out of his way
to keep track of issues that he feels are important to inform Goa about.
Whether these break out in Canacona, Corjuem or wherever! It is quite one
thing to go out of one's way to specially create content (unpaid) for
sharing on the Net, and another to share what one already has created
(either for some other purpose, or because we happen to be there). Some of
us, including myself, indulge in the latter form of sharing, which is far
more easy to undertake.

Which also makes me wonder: why doesn't JoeGoaUk just give up his
anonymity, and start contributing to some local paper or the other? (Of
course, anonymity here isn't the main issue. He could probably do that
*with* his anonymity too....) Readers in Goa too would gain from his inputs
and insights, and be overall better informed thanks to his photos, comments
and videos. That way too, he would be at least earning some small
compensation for all the work he puts in, and get a bit of the credit he
rightly deserves! If he doesn't need the money, he could ask the paper
concerned to automatically direct it to his favourite charity.

If I was running a local paper, I would have surely employed JoeGoaUk by
now :-) But then, that might have also dampened JoeGoaUk's art and damaged
his enthusiasm. So, fortunately, I'm not....

Best wishes, and a big thank you Joe again! FN
