Hi Carmo,

Every politician has its ups and downs, but we educated Goenkars need to
weigh the good things done against the bad, people on Goanet have only one
issue against Parrikar, that is about the VCD, and there is nothing else
against him. We need to address the real issues which are haunting our
motherland.
When it comes to Parrikar his opponents use terms like 'communal', 'keeping
communal forces at bay', where were the principles of these catholic MLA'S
when they were part of the BJP government? Even Churchill regretted his
decision which led to the collapse of the Parrikar government.
No Goan minister has made a real effort to improve the education system in
Goa,it was sad to know that a college set up in 1967 (Goa Engineering
College), which has produced people like Ashank Dessai was not recognized by
some countries in the Middle East, but the mafia realized this after 39
years that the college was missing something, all efforts by the Engicos to
inquire about the issue went in vain, they suffered for years and the issue
was solved a few months back. So we need to question the mafia why it was
delayed for so many years.

This is just an example, God knows what are the other problems our Goenkars
are facing because of the shambled education system, a system which lacks
vision.
Our ministers only talk about introduction of 'English as a medium of
instruction' as an achievement; if that's an achievement then we Goans will
only succeed to take up jobs as secretaries and clerks.

Parrikar did in months what others failed to do in decades, the removal of
the black mark of Baina was a gutsy thing he did. Everyone had treated that
area as a vote bank, but he didn't care, he was firm and he did it with an
iron fist. We goans get carried away with people who start cheap issues like
language, script and any non sense. But the real issues of today we are
ignoring. We ignorant Goans won't mind to elect back people who were on the
verge of selling off Goa to the Russian and the Delhi mafia. If the present
mafia continues to be in power, they will surely help Goans to move abroad
to work on ships and in Gulf, but if Parrikar comes to power , we the youth
of Goa are sure that he will get the software companies to Goa, plan the
right infrastructure to attract them. If like minded IITians like Ashank
Dessai, you (Carmo) render some help, through their contacts worldwide,
surely Goa will become atleast a mini-Bangalore. Goans won't have to go to
Bangalore and Pune to work in call centers; he will get them to Goa. He will
surely bring in coaching institutes which will help our Goan students to
compete in IITJEE, GATE, CAT, IAS, etc. And if the goan people wish that the
present mafia continues, then we will have more of polluting industries in
Goa, which provide no employment to the Goan youth, but instead dump their
waste in our fields and contaminate the ground water. The way the land of
freedom fighters 'Cuncolim' was raped by these polluting units is a clear
proof of the policies of the mafia to sell off Goa to Gujjus and Biharis.

We need to reach the message to the villages that only Parrikar can save Goa
from the present mess. What I feel today is that he did not get enough time
and the right majority to prove himself. I am sure the day he returns back
to power in style, the day will mark the dawn of a New Goa, if not we. but
our children will surely thank us for getting him in power.

Regards,
Rahul Almeida
