What has the relic in Coloane near Macau got to do with the Ceylonese claim
that the  uncorrupted body in Old Goa is that of a Buddhist monk.

It is irrelevant thinking like this that probably made Salazar say "Goa is
ours" when Nehru asked him sometime in the mid-50s, what would be the best
solution for the future of Goa.

Salazars meaning was; I see no future for Goa.

Roland.

Lately some Ceylonese have been spreading some crack news about the patron of
the Far East. There is relic of the saint in a chapel named after his name in a
place called Coloane which is an island south of Macau. These Ceylonese making
up the false stories have forgotten about the relic in Macau.
