*Screening of Award winning film LITTLE ZIZOU at ESG **~weekend cinema* *Panaji, 4th March 2014:* The Entertainment Society of Goa will screen acclaimed films like *"MAN OF THE MATCH" and *"*OPEN DOORS (KHULE DARWAAZE)"* will be screened on *7th March 2014 *at 5:30pm, "*MANOOS*" will be screened on *8th March 2014 *at 5:30pm and the film *"LITTLE ZIZOU"*will be screened on *9th March 2014 *at 5:30pm, all the screenings will be held at Maquinez Audi-I. * Synopses* *Man of the Match -*2011/Hindi-English/18mins, Dir-Hitesh Kewalya Synopsis: A cricket-crazy young boy cooped up with his ailing grandfather for a night, understands the true meaning of responsibility, as circumstances drive him to take control of the situation. *Open Doors (Khule Darwaaze): *2011/ Hindi-English/15 mins -Dir - Ashish Pandey Synopsis - Images from the past help Tara cope with her present that is devoid of any contact with the outer world. But how long can this deception keep the body and soul together? *Manoos:* 1939/Marathi/164 min -Dir - V. Shantaram Synopsis- brings together a simple-minded policeman and an innocent prostitute. The policeman tries to rehabilitate her; a life of decency by marrying her but the woman is still haunted by the moral legacy of her past. A chain of highly dramatic incidents ensues, culminating in the prostitute committing a murder, unwittingly. The final separation of the two protagonists is marked by both subtly and poignancy. *Little Zizou*: 2009/Hindi-English- Gujarati/117 min, Dir - Sooni Taraporevala <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sooni_Taraporevala> Synopsis - A delightful comedy about two Parsi families in Mumbai - one headed by a religious extremist, the other by a liberal newspaper editor. Told from the point of view of 10 year old Xerxes, a soulful soccer-mad Parsi boy, whose fervent wish is that his idol Zinedine Zidane visits Bombay. Though his mother died in childbirth, Xerxes hopes that she can still see him and affect miracles from her place up there. His older brother Art is a starry-eyed cartoonist whose wild fantasies come to life in surprising ways. Their father Khodaiji, a self-proclaimed protector-of-the-faith, thrives on the attentions (and donations) of hopeful believers. The brothers love to hang out at the home of their father's arch rival, Pressvala, the publisher of a liberal community newspaper. Art burns with unrequited love for Pressvala's oldest daughter, while Xerxes incurs the wrath of the younger daughter, who resents the attention her family showers on the motherless boy.
