Monthly Mass for the Canonization of Bl. Joseph Vaz, Patron of the Archdiocese
of Goa, “Apostle of Kanara and Sri Lanka”
In response to appeals for prayers for the Canonization of Blessed Joseph Vaz
(1656-1711) from the Archdiocese of Goa and the Sri Lankan Cardinal and
Bishops, we continue our 2014 monthly Mass at St. John the Baptist Church in El
Cerrito for this intention. The Joseph Naik Vaz Institute warmly invites all
San Francisco Bay area Catholic Goan, Mangalorean, and Sri Lankans to attend
our next "4th Sunday monthly Mass” on Sunday, May 25th at 12:30 p.m. at St.
John the Baptist Church in El Cerrito for the Canonization of Bl. Joseph Vaz.

Time: 12:30 p.m with singing by St. John’s Multicultural Choir
St. John the Baptist Church is within walking distance of the El Cerrito Del
Norte BART station.
We have been having lunch at a nearby local restaurant for those who want to
stay after Mass for a social hour.
