But here, near the sea, in Ratnagiri, a cool breeze blows the luscious perfume of the world's best mango, the Alphonso, through the palms and well tended orchards. RESPONSE: Thanks for this post, I can almost taste the food. I have heard that Alphonso Mangos grown in Ratnagiri are superior to the ones grown in Goa. No mangos here due to the E.U. ban and canned ones not the same.
