This discussion are not healthy in a open forum like this, because name of the priests of Goa can be ruined. I must say both of you are right and wrong, that is what one of you said already.There are also many priests in other communities who gets the donations from abroad and use in Goa for churches or temples etc with ulterior motives and certain amount is pocketed for their own personal use. Let me give a example which I know for certain; one priest from Goa goes frequently to USA whether it is with permission of Bishop or not and stays there for months together, and preaches or says masses for the Catholics over there in USA and also in Canada, and while he comes back he brings number of electronic gadgets some of them not working probably junk ones, presented to him, and also brand new ones. The old ones I know he gives to a person in Goa, for repairs every time he comes back from abroad, and the new ones some of them I do not know what he does whether he sells or donates. This kind of things is common with certain priests which I do not have concrete proofs except this particular one which I do not like to name him. This has become an habit for such disgruntled and selfish priests and this is in order of the day to accumulate donation , funds etc and are been used in Goa for personal use, and of course in the name of church. Other communities also gets donation for their temples and misuse them. So much fraud takes place and nobody bothers.Who will check on them as these people have no such character. This priest continues to remain in Goa for few months and says masses in his own parish church and goes back abroad and this exercise continues. Whether Bishop knows this or whether Bishop has given his consent is not known. Or even whether this money goes to Bishop's house also is not known but it is certain that this kind of transaction are taking place with some dirty priests from Goa. An another incident in Goa itself , one priest has built a church after converting from a chapel and the work is done with good intentions I feel and the parishioners were happy that their chapel is converted into a church and nobody talks bad about this decision of the priest. He goes personally to Rajastan to get the delivery of marbles and granites with full load of truck/s while coming to Goa a part of it is directed to his own sister's place which is being built a house and these granites/marbles are fixed in their house and remaining part of it comes to church. You see how such transaction are taking place. The doubt is being created in the minds of people and that is bad in the name of GOD. How things are happening and the Bishop is silent and every time the parish priests does upgrading the chapel, or repairs or building a school or a convent etc the minds of people starts thinking bad of them because such issues are taking place. Most of them are really GOOD. Hope you both will not attack me for saying this story which is true. ===================================================
