What a tangled web we weave indeed!
FN who has always contributed to Goanet and is most probably the moderator (I
came into this forum a couple of years ago only) has always contributed some
interesting topics and has started a new thread to provide the discussion of
the good/bad or ugly side of the blog so yes, that is what I assume he meant by
2000 words!

What I find so interesting on Goanet that it covers a wide spectrum of topics
to interest even the discernable reader! and creates a platform for a debate
highlighting pros and cons from both sides - that is what it is all about
rather than finding out who is at the top or to throw little pebbles resulting
to stones and boulders huh?

Being from East Africa, came to the UK when very young, so it was interesting
to see good prolific writers like Melvyn, Rose and even Gabe (simply love his
songs of the day!) pick some loopholes in the book, some of it very true,
having read the book now, and likewise good prolific writers like Mervyn
(Maciel) and Eddie add their side of the debate to Selma's book, which again
shows the good informative bits that younger folk need to know and understand.
Why Melvyn, Rose and Gabe cannot write little excerpts of their researched
knowledge and experience for us to absorb and read is indeed a question.
Likewise Roland and others on their take on Mumbai - that is what I find so
enlightening, interesting and fab!
I can go on naming the topics, but picking just recent blogs.

One can't get all on the same page at the same time but for someone who loves
to know anything Indian/Goan, be it politics, or experiences, or more
interestingly enough debates on any topic, I suspect this is what Goanet is all
about - getting us interactive on topics close to our hearts and perhaps by
introducing the Goanet story topic all will come to light why it was set up, by
whom, when and who the nuts and bolts of this wonderful platform are!!

Suffice to say, I will get well hammered for my "opinion" and is it 2000 words?
or one..... I care not! but just had to have my say...guess this is what
this blog does, spurs on to express their opinion ! and I love it!
