COMMENT:

1: CM Parrikar is right.
2: Stephen Dias is right in stating that the Portuguese (Latin) word for Black 
is Negro.
3: Stephen Dias is right in pointing out, further, that black Africans lived in 
Goa. They and other Africans (Siddis) lived in Goa and other parts of the West 
coast of the subcontinent. 
4: In my reading, I have not come across any "White" Africans living in Goa. 
Accordingly, I am not sure what Mervyn's context is wrt what Stephen wrote.
5: Eugene's post is noted. NOT a good idea for a non-black person to use that 
word in the US. 
6: However, black folks will use that word quite liberally. They even have the 
UNCF. Guess what the N stands for.  When they wish to refer to each other and 
another person, they would liberally use the N word as in "White Nigger" to 
mean a white man.
