Regarding the topic of Sainthood for Pe Joseph Vaz who is a Goan by birth or a(n) Indian, we Goans must try and pray that he gets the Sainthood as a Goan identity, although he did lots of work in Sri Lanka which comes later. Comment: Blessed Vaz also served in churches in the Canara region prior departure to Sri Lanka. Menawhile: St. Francis Xavier (1506-1552) was born in the family castle of Xavier, near Pamplona in the Basque area of Spanish Navarre on Apr. 7, 1506 according to a family register. He is said to have died on December 3, 1552. MD.
