After all the loud talk over the last nine months Prime Minister Narendra
Modi has finally done something concrete by auctioning the pinstripe suit
he had worn during President Barack Obama’s recent visit. The money from
that auction will fund the cleaning of the River Ganga.
Similarly Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar could also auction his suit
possibly along with those shoes too to help cleanse the awfully sewage
loaded stinking Panaji’s St Inez creek. Manohar Parrikar who wore a suit
and shoes for the first time ever may just have it lying around unused
gathering dust and fungus.
Goa’s Casino, Mining and Drug mafia who enjoy Manohar Parrikar’s unstinted
patronage will oblige and walk away with his suit and shoes for a
staggering bid and we may finally see the long overdue cleansing of the St
Inez creek while Narendra Modi’s suit brings some solace to the grubby
Ganga.
