AAP in Politics

The advent of AAP in the political arena raised hopes and aspirations of
voters, They hopefully saw new era on the dark horizon of politics, It was
a new vibrant body of young, intelligent articulate individuals that took
on the might of seasoned parties and veteran politicians .AAP wanted a
fight against corruption, lok pal, women security, They were supported
young enthusiastic brigade of both sexes, elderly and professional and born
out of popular movement, The old guard challenged them to enter politics
and bring out the change and they did just that,, First attempt saw them
win but not with a majority, They therefore formed a Govt with Congress
that unexpectedly lasted for 49 days. It is called unethical, then what do
we call coalition of BJP with PDP in Mharashtra, Kashmir, political
opportunism or compulsion after all the bitter campaign, specially the
partners being strange bedfellows, who fought a bitter campaign with no
holes bared

AAP was expected to be a party with difference, transparent, non corrupt,
accountable with funds, not hobnobbing with religious bigots, not inviting
criminals, and poaching disgruntled elements with expiry period in their
own parties and more than that hoped to adopt collective leadership.
Finally, disappointingly it has gone the way of the Mayawati(BSP),Mulayam
(SP), Lalu Prasad (RJD), Jayalaitha, Congress, BJP, all leaders have
developed streaks of autocratic behaviour, concentration of power,
egoistic , my ship my rule etc., It now appears that AAP is infected with
similar virus, Important founder members are either shown the door or have
resigned citing lack of freedom and one man rule and decisions against
basic tenants’ of the party principles

Voters are realizing that all parties new or old are cast in the same dye
and that their hopes and expectations are dashed against rocks of reality,
AAP is nicknamed hunourously “ Arwin Alone Party” The BJP is not hiding its
joy that the nascent party that had decimated and obliterated BJP in Delhi
with a massive majority is now infighting mode, with apparent split right
down in the middle The coterie has come to light jostling for position, The
voters will not forgive their personal ambitions of power, position and
egoism. AAP will realize bitterly when time comes, It appears that an old
adage that a known devil I is better than an unknown saint. AAP has
definitely dug its grave and all talks of development with open fights for
leverage of power, unable to manage internal contradictions without the
public glare, Did the voters misplaced their trust in the new dispensation

great hopes and are thus left in political wilderness of desperation,
frustrations
