SOWING THE SEEDS OF COMMUNAL DIVIDE In response to the diatribe by the Dhavalikars I would request them to look within and reflect on the following:-
1) The manner in which Hinduism uses the congruence of ritual and social status of the so-called upper castes and their overpowering dominance in the society in general and in the institutions of governance, production and education in particular to lead to marginalization and exclusion of lower castes. 2)The manner in which the upper castes dominate the political institution which is of course the product of their structural location and social capital. This results in personality cult and has furthered the clout of the so-called upper castes. 3)The manner in which the so-called upper castes dominate the modern institutions of governance and often misuse the public office for their personal ends. Instead of their misguided statements to remain in the limelight they would do better if they draw their ire against the Bollywood culture instead of convent schools which only endeavour to teach good morals.
