I just heard the sad news of the passing away of a great Goan - a musical legend and a dear friend Emiliano. Some years ago when I was held up in Goa due to the closure of some snowbound airports in the U.K., we were put up in the Dona Sylvia Beach Resort in Cavelossim in South Goa. It is here that I was not only privileged to meet this great man but also invited to sing along while he and his group entertained stranded passengers and guests. The moment was captured in a photograph I have - a memory I shall always treasure. My sincere condolences go out to his whole family. May his soul rest in peace.
