In the death of Emiliano Da Cruz we have lost a very caring person who
was ever so warm hearted and always very dignified in all that he had to
say or do. Ever so simple and humble always rendering a human touch with
whoever he interacted. Someone who passionately loved Goa and Goenkarponn.
He was always very concern about’s Goa’s fading identity.
Was very pained on hearing the news of the demise of my dear friend of many
years. Besides being an outstanding musician Emiliano was a thorough
unassuming gentleman to the core. Persons of his calibre, integrity and
commitment are rare today.
His musical legacy will be an everlasting treasure trove of melodic themes.
We may have lost a fine gentleman but we can ensure that his noble values
and virtues continue to inspire us. May his Soul rest in eternal peace.
May the Almighty give his wife Lilon and the family the courage and
strength to bear in what is Goa’s loss. Adieus Amigo till we meet again.
