Merwyn Lobo writes:

The reality is that most of those who contribute to a pension fund will find
out that the fund owns a lot of the tobacco firms. These tobacco companies have
customers who, sorry, have addicts. Once the customer/addict lights up, it is
very difficult for them to drop the addiction.

As such, the tobacco firms make a lot of profits which they generously
distribute to the share owners.

Cajetan correctly points out that smokers like to are willing to pay people for
a product that destroys their health.

Kistod: (Explains calmly) Doctor, to tell you the truth. Sometimes when I
reflect back on all the cigarettes I smoked, I feel ashamed. Then I look into
the cigarette and think about the workers in the cigarette factory and all of
their hopes and dreams. If I don?t smoke this cigarette, they might be out of
work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, it's better
that I smoke this cigarette and let their dreams come true then be selfish and
worry about my LUNGS.

2.The evidence against the use of tobacco by humans  is so overwhelming that no
amount of money being made by the Tobacco Industrial Complex and even more
money being made by the Health Industrial Complex  working hard to heal and
manage the damage caused by tobacco use, can justify one individual's
delusional wish to support his addiction on the grounds that "it's better that
I smoke this cigarette and let their dreams come true then be selfish and worry
about my LUNGS."
And yes, it was supposed to be a " SMILE................................. IT'S
WEEKEND" joke, but clearly not very funny.

No doubt  Cajetan is a very talented writer, hence the suggestion  for the
rewrite.
