Hi all

London Nachom-la-Kumpasar (Dance to the Rhythm) (Sold Out)

Rose and myself were in this digital age lucky to purchase tickets in advance
for the screening at Cineworld Haymarket (SOLD OUT) show on Saturday 18 July.
After the showing of the film the first thing that crossed my mind is that
finally, like Phoenix rising from the ashes, we actually witnessed something of
“real” quality in production, direction, acting and above all musical talent.
This was a film which extended a brave conductor’s hand and snatched back our
unique musical heritage, which is rightfully ours, previously in the melting
pot of Indian music.
We hope the worldwide Goan community will be given the opportunity to enjoy and
be proud of this splendid film.    It is a superb testament to Goan producer
Bardroy Baretto from South Goa who skillfully arranged the production to make
the audience feel they were part of the set leading to exemplary behaviour, pin
drop silence, no time for cous cous gossip or even crunch a popcorn lest one
missed a single precious moment.
Importantly, this tribute to Goa music and Goan musicians is a jump start that
shows to the world that no longer will our talents be suppressed but bring
enjoyment to all.   The U-tube visits on the trailer of the film today stand at
51,756.

Another opportunity to see the 156 minute no advertisement Nachom-la-Kumpasar
film tribute to Goan Music and musicians is in Berlin Germany on Sat 25 July,
Patricia Ann Alvares of café@heraldo  informs of the screening  at the  Mother
India Wassermusik 2015 festival.    This is a double honour for Goa State  as
an ensemble of six Goan musicians led by Schubert Cotta has  been invited to
perform at the prestigious Haus der Kuluren der welt . This inclusion of Goan
Konkani Music at the festival for the very first time is playing under “Konkani
Goan All Stars”.
Organisers of World Goa Day events around the world will strive to at least
gift our music and language to the next generation for one day in 365 days of
the year. Use tweezers and prise our youth from all of pond life and help them
develop their potential talents.
Make 2015 the start of a proud era for our Niz Goenkars everywhere.
