PARRIKAR BIRTHDAY SPEECH WAS A FAILURE IN DONA PAULA DUE TO INTERMITTENT POWER SUPPLY It pains me to put across the authorities of Electricity of Sub-Station Taleigao and Dona Paula area that we residents could not get a continuous electrical supply especially today in view of our Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar who has celebrated his 60th Birthday at Campal parade ground. Being a senior citizen, I have decided to remain home and hear his speech on all the TV channels. Unfortunately as usual our electrical supply was interrupted quite often and only it resumed at 8.20 PM after the speech. I was completely disgusted and unhappy as I could not hear his entire speech. I tried my level best to call all the in-charge of Electrical engineers as well as Dona Paula/Taleigao sub-station but no one has responded and most of them have put their mobile OFF. I have been restless also due to the noise pollution from loud sirens either from Security Police, Ambulance or Fire Brigade close to my residence when the speech was going on. I then realized that the only person, who can help me, is Ex-CM Digamber Kamat as he immediately attend calls. He told me that he will contact concerned engineer and reinstate the power in Dona Paula. It was nice of him at least he offered his services, but nothing he could do as he is out of power. I thought that I am already in the war days, because such things take place only during the war. I now request the Hon. Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar to investigate why such interruption take place often and especially on this auspicious day, the 13th of December 2015. In future such big extravaganza of any kind must be taken one or two days in advance with rehearsal especially for electricity power load connectivity. Hope Parrikar is listening?
