                                         MAYOR'S SPEAK

The Goan on 12.1.2016 gives an elaborate details of work done by each Mayor
during their five years tenure at CCP.
This data was given because CCP is gearing up to hold elections on March
6th Jan 2016.
The public are surprised all what has been said by each Mayor as they are
actually done nothing and all talk is bogus. These four Mayors are Yatin
Parekh, Vaidehi Naik, Surendra Furtado and the present Mayor Shubam
Chodankar are those who spoke to "The Goan" newspaper.
In fact nothing concrete work has been completed by them, and the funds
were never utilized and had to be sent back to the treasury due to their
incompetency. Panjim is still suffering.
All are lies and nothing else. Panjim is still in ruins and no development
has taken place during none of these mayors tenure. For example Garbage,
damaged roads, city cleanness, environment damage, unsuccessful drainage,
urinating and defecation still existing, prostitution at Children park,
illegal boat cruises, city parking chaos, traffic jam near Caculo Mall
road, garages still working on pavement, Panjim market
disorder, Military establishment in Panjim still not yet shifted to give
place for Multi storage parking, petrol pumps creating congestion in the
city, unsafe old buildings , old vehicles lying on roads, congestion of
traffic on account of casino menace and nuisance and foul smell at St Ines
Creek stinking with sewage discharge, no gutters, sewage work
paralyze, , underground High tension cabling incomplete, Bus Stand in Dona
Paula, Patto Plaza stinking, Shifting of Sharada Mandir school with white
elephant walking bridge, Street vendors at Miramar ete. etc is all seen
by the Panjimites.
In fact it is suggested that NO Mayor post is required for CCP as their
voices are never heard by the Government as they are powerless. Alternately
two Commissioners should be appointed by the Government, one for
administrative work and other for technical matters as they never allowed
Commissioners to do the work.
