Popular Exhibition at Chinchinim It is a great, ideal spot at Chinchinim -Deussua Panchayat proposed , enclosed market arena at the confluence of Orlim, Assolna , Cuncolim and Chinchinim Villages ,There is ample of parking space, large population to double up as eager crowd with purchasing power to boot .The space both inside and outside is occupied by large number of parked vehicles, if that is the sign of its welcome popularity in village set up The nomenclature is bit out of place and confusing being labeled as "Interior Consumer Shope" .Just a few smattering of tables,sofas cupboards at the entrance ,which is totally misleading and objectionable and does not qualify its title for the exhibition under the brand name. It is a full pledged, general exhibition as the one`s being held at Margao and cities with all stall booked fully .The participants are the same merchants doubling up at the Consumer Shope, Pretty Home with the same products. There is hardly anything novel , new, attractive that meets your curiosity or inclination to purchase,, Nevertheless the patronising crowds find it most convenient being close on their doorsteps for a recreational evening with their families. There is also little distraction for the children interests and also food courts that seem to do roaring buisiness For the first time such an exhibition has found a potential opening in the village, may be at a considerable discount of location, marketing their products with the ferocity of the same prices as in the city display If it has met its objectives of sales proceeds, the repeat by other popular exhibits, will be a test of success thus taking exhibition to some potential sites outsides congested cities, including Cuncolim As the proposal for market is in cold storage for now, may be such ventures will ensure much needed revenues in the interim, or just turn it into a most deisrable place for recreation, exhibition and entertainment Nelson lOPES cHINCHINIM
