*Mapping Through Art * Using maps as both metaphor and material , this workshop will explore mapping as a way of expressing spaces and journeys, both personal and public, real and imagined .
The workshop will be led by Rani Sarin at Gallery Gitanjali on *28th February 2016.* Rani Sarin is a mixed media artist based in Boston Massachusetts, with degrees in art from the JJ School of Art in Bombay and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.Her works are in collections in India, Sweden and the U.S.She has conducted several workshops in India and the U.S. Using mixed media: photographs, drawings, the written word, images from newspapers or magazines, maps etc. participants will experiment with different combinations to develop personal imagery. We will use paper, color pencils, crayons ,scissors and glue to make collages. Materials: Paper or cardboard Scissors Photographs that you might want to use in the collage Drawings Crayons, pencils, poster paints or acrylics Maps Some paper and drawing material will be provided.
