Goa Chitra Museum to host the OPERAWALA Tour of India: Oscar Dom Victor 
Castellino aka Operawala is joining hands with the Italian Embassy Cultural 
Centre to commemorate the centenary of composer Francesco Paolo Tosti with a 
concert tour of India. 
After a resounding concert at St. Xavier's College Mumbai, the tour now comes 
to Goa at the Goa Chakra Indoor Hall, Benaulim on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 
5:30 pm. Nadine Crasto shall accompany Operawala on the piano. 
This concert is to raise funds for the upkeep of the Goa Chitra Museum with

Chitra Museum, Benaulim is proud to host ‘the Operawala Tour of India with a 
unique classical performance,
presenting for the first time at Goa Chitra, Oscar Dom Victor Castellino, 
opera singer  and Nadine Crasto on Piano on
the 8th of March, 2016 at 5:30 pm.


The classical music
concert is a special fund raising initiative for the up keep of the Goa Chitra
museum. Oscar Dom Victor Castellino aka
Operawala is joining hands with the Italian Embassy Cultural Centre to

of India. After a resounding concert at St. Xavier's College Mumbai, the tour
now comes to Goa at the Goa Chakra Indoor Hall, Benaulim on Tuesday, March 8,
2016 at 5:30 pm. Nadine Crasto shall accompany Operawala on the piano. 


One of its kind, the
concert shall be held in the halls of the Goa chakra museum, where the
acoustics are crisp, bringing to the audience a scintillating music experience. 

The event shall commence
from 5.30 p.m. sharp to 7.30 p.m. because of limited seating arrangements,

The Great Music Revival Concert series is
a creative initiative to promote the Goa Chitra's membership drive and raise

Bio of Oscar:
Oscar Dom Victor Castellino aka Operawala, alumnus of the prestigious Royal 
College of Music sang for Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant on the 
river Thames. He will be playing the central role of James Meredith in the 
opera Kommilitonen! with Welsh National Opera young artists in July 2016. With 
Opera at Bearwood he has played the roles of Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, 
Dancairo in Carmen and Pluto in Orpheus in the Underworld. He played Djami in 
Iain Burnside’s Journeying Boys. With Barefoot Opera – Dancairo (Carmen) and 
Belcore (l’Elisir D’amore). He played the lead role of Aeneas in Giving Voice 
Society’s Dido and Aeneas tour of India. Oscar also played the lead role of 
Mahival in Sohini and Mahival, a Urdu opera at the Southbank Centre and Niladri 
in a Vanraj Bhatia opera.He was the first recipient of the Blair Wilson Award 
and was also supported by the Martin Harris Award and Lee Abbey Award at the 
Royal College of Music, where he studied Patricia Rozario who discovered his 
talent while he was a software programmer having earlier studied Physics.Oscar 
commissioned a new work “The Little Big Man” based on Tagore poems by multiple 
award winning composer Bertram Wee. This received much success at it’s premier 
in London in June 2015.Bio of Nandine Crasto:
Nadine has a BA degree in English Literature and
Psychology and recently graduated with a Master of Arts
Degree in Piano Performance at the Royal Academy of Music, London, studying
under Colin Stone.
She won the Jazz and Popular Music section at MusicQuest
2011, gave her Young Talent Recital at the NCPA in 2012 and has performed in
Mumbai, Goa, Kolkata, Mysore, Bangalore, Ahmedabad,
