Addressing a press conference in Margao, Mr Alemao claimed that was getting good response from the people and added that some politicians were harassing his supporters. He warned that Goa would become another Bihar if muscle power activities continue and alleged that the police had become inactive in South Goa. He also alleged that there were several bogus voters in Navelim constituency and demanded that the concerned authorities verify the same. Speaking to 'The Navhind Times' in Curtorim, on the sidelines of the Save Goa Front's Convention, Mr Alemao said that the Save Goa Front will field candidates in 35 constituencies and expressed confidence that electorate of Goa would support the Front. Asked whether the Save Goa Front would have alliance with any other party, Mr Alemao said that there will be no alliance with the BJP and the Congress and the Save Goa Front is capable of getting a majority to form the government on its own. Meanwhile, Mr Alex Reginaldo Lourenco, a ZP member from South Goa was today declared as the candidate of the Save Goa Front from Curtorim constituency. The announcement was made by the front's president, Mr Sidhant Buyao. Mr Lourenco said much of the work that he desired could not be executed due to lack of powers for the Zilla Parishad and alleged that the MLAs were holding back the powers and therefore priorities for the whole constituency could not be met. -- DEV BOREM KORUM.
