E. D'Souza's post on the popular You Tube jazz rendition of "Brazil" showing silky olive tanned Brazilian women dressed in Rio Carnival attire does little justice to Brazilian women.
In reality, many of them are stunningly beautiful with powerful personalities to match. They dress well but not skimpily and have an overpowering presence. They are great to talk with, shy, self-effacing but confident. For all the bravado and showmanship you see in the Carnival parade, they are great business and social company. I suppose you can say that of other South Americans too - the Argentinians, Colombians, Peruvians and what have you. But to the Goan the Brazilians have a special affinity due to the common language heritage, if not culture. Roland Francis Toronto.
