Modi's time would be better spent into building up an Indian Peace Corps than
making unnecessary foreign visits which as they become frequent, cheapen
whatever effect they intended.

There is a need for two divisions of the Peace Corps. One, for within the
country itself and the other for developing countries where Indian expertise is
required to counter Chinese influence.

For the country, the Corps would be spread in all the rural areas, committing
to alleviate poverty, working on social justice and exposing corruption.

In the foreign country area, they would build social and basic physical
infrastructure like small bridges, good administration and motorable roads.

India would be a more natural ally to those developing countries. While the
Chinese retreat back to their guarded camps after their day's work, Indians
have an abundance of appealing soft power.

The initiative should be given to lndian corporations rather than the
government which botch it up and surely as the sun rises.
