Yes indeed, the Archdiocese of Goa surely needs to be congratulated on its promptness of response to the IT queries, especially in these troubled times. However, having shown its capability of reacting so promptly in this case, it is a matter of profound regret that it missed so many opportunities in the past to show the same degree of responsiveness on many other issues that have plagued the Church and the Catholic community in recent times, particularly the controversial land deals that have kept the Archdiocese of Goa and the Goan Catholic community in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Let us hope and pray that this performance signals the setting of new standards of efficiency and responsiveness for the Church and for all of us as the Catholic community.

By doing so, the Archdiocese has remained true to its high moral standards of being the custodian of the Catholic Church in Goa and Daman. This resolute and befitting retort should make our catholic brothers and sisters proud of the Archdiocese, which has caused no rancor but on the contrary resolved what would otherwise have been creating discord. A reaction stayed true to the tenets of the Catholic Church and the teaching of the Holy Bible.
