The Trump Administration in the mess they are making, will unintentionally
create beautiful things.

The whole concept of dual citizenship has become utterly ridiculous and
confusing on many levels and throws out-of-whack the loyalty and fidelity one
should show to one's country.

Take for example the case of an Iranian woman (with an Iranian passport) who
has Canadian citizenship and lives as a permanent resident in the US with her
family. She says she is now afraid to go to Canada for fear she may not be
admitted back to the US on account of Trump's recent executive directives.

I can see this woman paying taxes nowhere and getting benefits from all three.
I can see the immigration authorities of three countries scratching their heads
to see how they can extradite her if she commits a crime in one of the three
countries and resides in one of the other two.

I can now see the farsightedness of Indian authorities consistently refusing to
allow dual citizenship under pressure from many sides.

It's a clear cut road. One country, one flag, one loyalty. You can change that
for whatever reason, but like a non-bigamous marriage, it remains a union with
always one spouse.
