Eliot Cohen served both the father and son Bush presidents and must be
angry Trump bumped out 'low energy' Jeb. On May 3, 2016 Cohen wrote on
Washington post: "Donald Trump, a man utterly unfit for the position by
temperament, values and policy preferences, will be the Republican nominee
for president" and preferred a third party candidate. Cohen—helped to
organize letters signed by foreign policy experts denouncing Trump as unfit
for office—calls the election results "dreadful." On Nov 15, he tweeted:
"After exchange w Trump transition team, changed my recommendation: stay
away. They're angry, arrogant, screaming "you LOST!" Will be ugly." — Eliot
A Cohen (@EliotACohen) which drew widespread attention. Perhaps he was
trying for a job and was told to get lost. Sour grapes!
Jeb's supporters financed the Trump 'golden showers' dossier compiled by
British James Bond'000' Christopher Steele, but Jeb lost interest after he
lost the primary against Trump then Democrats wanted it.
