Here in Canada there are people who refuse to accept blood transfusions because of their religious beliefs. I have no problems with such people who, essentially, remove themselves from the gene pool because of their beliefs. However, the same person becomes a problem to society when he also insists that his infant child should not receive a blood transfusion, one that would save the infants life.
