Designed, curated and headed by renowned investigative journalist Rana Ayyub, this workshop will break you into the real world, taking it forward from the space where journalism textbooks leave you. A four-week crash course in ethics, basics and technical finesse that will prepare you to take your steps into the ever changing, adrenaline driven media world. The course room, a laid back yet riveting atmosphere in the picturesque and scenic North Goa will be your chance to breathe easy and help chanelise your focus on your professional life. Rana Ayyub, the course person will take you through first hand experiences, stories, anecdotes and help you understand what it entails to be a journalist. We promise you that you will not be given a rosy picture of the state of affairs. The areas of expertise will be investigative and political journalism. Guest lecturers will be flown in from Delhi. You will also get a chance to assist Rana Ayyub and others on an investigation. The course is open to graduates/ post graduates in journalism or post graduates in any other stream. Working trainee/ fresher/ middle career journalists can also apply. We are closing entries on 28th April and candidates will be taken on first come, first serve basis. Special consideration to journalists from regional areas who have shown great flair and integrity in their initial journalism career. We will also help students with placement across media organisations. The course fee for four weeks is 40 thousand rupees and includes course material, merchandise and assistance in accommodation.
