BANNING LIQUOR ON HIGHWAYS?
The main reason for the SC banning liquor on highways is because the drivers gets drunk and kills people on the road. This looks funny to make a law because anyway a driver will always gets drunk even all the outlets on highways whether on 500 kms or 1000 kms is strictly made to stop selling liquors in bars, tavernas in this tiny state of Goa. So, let people have their own way of selling liquors but impose checks on drivers and catch them with the help of alcoholmeters and strong police checks etc and get their licenses confiscated or even cancelled for some period of time. Why others should be penalized or suffer for drinking their social drinks? This is my opinion. Stephen Dias Dona Paula
