This is good news and bad news.

It is good news in so far as it shows a lively Goa presence on the net, on one of its most popular platform.

The bad news is about that most popular of online platforms: it is a proprietary venture which appropriates and monetizes big time the free contributions of its users.

The whole question is whether the users should be happy with this state of affairs, feeling they get something in return: that is, the platform itself and what it facilitates for them.

There is no simple answer to this - but I think it is worth thinking about.

not on FaceBook, but that's a personal choice, and, alas, it comes at a price: networked life is much easier, smoother, with (and on ;-) FB
