RUKUS IN GOA ASSEMBLY The speaker was forced to adjourn thrice on the first day due shouting in the well of House despite assurance of the CM to discuss the matter. Seems that only Pratap Singh Rane and Parrikar provided good example in the House. The Opposition was hell bent on not letting the House function unless their demand was met! Why is this behavior tolerated? High time those rushing into the well of the House and not permitting proceedings must be penalised? I did not see why this bad practice of bureaucrats going to the Minister's residence must continue. Ministers have been provided with posh cars and drivers, communication many other faclities.Reportedly 20 new high end cars have been provided for Ministers at a cost of Rs 2.97 crores! Mauvin Godhino"s car itself costs Rs 18,76,000/-. Are there there to serve us by civilised behavior and discussion to improve matters or for self agrandisement and self convenience?Not to mention disgracing the reputation of the Goa Assembly! For example that day a huge truck carying a railway engine weighing 90 tons was stopped by people at Canacona so our existing bridges, culverts and roads are not damaged. This engine aught to have perhaps been transported by train and instead of awareness to prevent such such matters from hapenning in the first place by improvement in our administration and other important issues ie with a prevention better than cure attitude, why are they wasting their time and our money? Regarding desecration of graves and crosses, the CM does not mention the alleged culprit is a mentally unstable man, and relying only on his confession? The 22Lakhs he has in FDs proceeds from sale of property covers all explanations of how he got the money?What about perhaps some incentive for the job? And police boasting he showed them 113 locations in past 14 years is not ashamed for not catching him/preventing it! We expect a professional investigation and please do not politicize or communalize the issue. The first day of the Parliament was similarly a washout. A cartoon on the Tamilnadu Assembly: " Prices are shooting up. We must take some action. Therefore we are doubling the salaries of all members of the House!" At the same time their farmers some have been driven to suicide, are crying and agitating in Delhi for the second time.Shameful indeed!
