I enjoyed reading Mervyn's story about his move from Kenya to the UK in 1966.I
am sure every one of those who had to leave East Africa (Kenya, Uganda &
Tanzania) have similar stories.  Despite his family and his traumatic
departure from the land of their birth, where they identified themselves as
Kenyans, Mervyn bears no ill-will towards those who caused him to leave with
his young family. With overtones of "susegadness",  Mervyn bounced back, and
has lived happilly ever after. His service to the Crown, was recently
recognized with the award ofMBE (Member of the British Empire) which was well
deserved. Mervyn, I wish you and your family many many more happy years in fair
England.
