(inflammation of the pancreas) and pancreatic cancer. Both conditions present 
similar symptoms and may look the same on radiology scans. Most patients 
require exploratory surgery to establish a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and 
determine the extent of the disease.”

Lilavati Hospital has indicated that no surgery will be done on Parrikar. It 
may indicate that a definite diagnosis of pancreatitis has been made or that at 
Stage IV, no surgical exploration is necessary.
