Eugene,The Bible quote - while often attributed to Tutu - was never said by 
him. Think about it. Tutu is a man of the Bible. He cannot go against what it 
represents.
The quote is also frequently attributed to Kenyatta. Kenyatta did not express 
the idea either. In fact, Kenyatta was one of the biggest land grabbers in 
Africa.
The first mention of the idea came from a German playwright after WWII. Check 
it up. 
One thing is sure. If you want real wealth, buy land and live on it.

The whites came to Canada and gradually took over. Though the First Nations
have many rights, they lifestyles and their reservation sites are a sad
commentary on Canada.
As Bishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa once famously said, "The whites came
with Bibles and took over over land, and now we have the Bibles and they
have the land."
In respect of culture, Quebec fought for Independence but had to settle
with special status and many other concessions to remain as part of the
Canadian confederation.
