I must say that had it not been for postings from this great man's fans on the Net, I wouldn't have even got to know of the issue. Guess many in Goa didn't realise all that he had achieved, and then we also have the linguistic divide, with those writing-and-reading in Marathi and English functioning as if they almost were two separate worlds!
