Opposition unity The swearing in ceremony in Karnataka, saw for the first time, in recent times unprecedented opposition unity., BJP is bound to be rattled by this show of strength of stalwarts of various parties. It bodes well for the opposition ,as it is being trampled/mauled upon and decimated in many states due to divisions of votes. It should also open the eyes of multiple party system to reduce the number of parties, as the first serious exercise to stop the Modi juggernaut. BJP has no other leaders other than Modi to lead from front. Who rules India , as the PM is first Indian PM , who is more defacto a foreign Minister,a constant globe tottering P.M of Independent India
The Opposition parties with different ideologies, ambitions have finally realized the dangers posed by BJP and their slogan of Congress mukt India. It was a unbelievable scene of coming together that was out of blue. Bitter enemies just the other day and with eternal hatred shunned their coats of arrogance and separate identities that was loud and clear and welcomed by voters as a possible alternative. BJP`s intolerance in food, religion, dress and threat to democracy and secularism that has woken the opposition .The crime, violence against minorities, women ,rapes all over India have woken up the countrymen, The rationalist have been murdered and have not been nabbed yet. The scientists, educators , actors have all spoken loudly against fear and threats to freedom .The recipients have returned National awards in protests. The thought of how BJP is winning in opposition strongholds with minorities in majorities , who historically, traditionally can never vote for BJP and now with increasing onslaught against their religious beliefs make the outcomes doubtful . The RSS is apparently running the programmes and policies of Govt.It is rumoured ,as new, invisible methods of rigging elections cannot be ruled out and opposition has to be extra vigilant about the whole election process and plug the loopholes It is not a gang up opposition against Modi as BJP seem to project and would like Indians to believe. It is not Modi in person the glue for opposition unity .The division of votes provides more seats thn percentage of votes polled. Seat adjustment where the parties are weak must be reality to avoid division. Inhibition, hatred ,egoistic attitudes of superiority between opposition leaders must be shed. The opposition must campaign in unison by leaders who can easily challenge Modi ,a single, only individual in the armour, of BJP propaganda. relied upon to tilt scales. He is losing sheen of 2014 election with slogan diet that have outlived its novelty. He is seen to be making it personal campaign and not following decorum of high office .The promises of employment, development, women security, corruption make in India have been thrown overboard. The massive propaganda about corruption in Congress , and voters desire for a change made the difference in providing win for BJP, The demonetisation, GST increase in fuel prices and food have come to haunt the BJP in its track of forward march The galaxies of Indian opposition on a single platform is in right direction to oppose the ideologies of RSS and BJP. The regional aspirations must be subdued in National interest, The institutions of democracy be it judiciary, CBI, police are infiltrated to be a part of Govt support and this destroying the fabric of democracy and secularism.
