Certificates, police records, testimonials, eye witnesses, forensic DNA? So far I've read several accusations on this forum from books being plagiarised, to someone of repute being a thief, someone creating trouble in the Gulf, someone's cousin being a murderer, someone cheating on their exams. What proof has anyone come up with to back-up these allegations? They've been made and they've hung heavy in cyberspace and on our memories. The slurs and defamation are a permanent stain on the character of these people. It is so easy to defame someone in cyerspace precisely because the laws of defamation are lax and the legalities of managing defamation in cyberspace are a mussy pond. Today, we may take vicarious pleasure at other people's foibles, but tomorrow someone may unearth a nugget of personal information about me, information that rightfully should remain confidential. Are there any rules that regulate the disbursement of such information? You obviously feel that the future of the world is at stake if you don't know the colour of someone's underwear. I have no such interest in the personal lives of other people. I have stated my code of ethics and you've stated yours. Now we know where we both stand. To each his own. selma ____________________________________________________________________________________ Sick sense of humor? Visit Yahoo!
