The Shah was more sensitive to his people’s needs than to western demands.

Savak was not let loose on political rebels and dissidents with torture and 
killing behind the scenes.

The 2500th anniversary of Cyrus The Great was not celebrated in Persepolis a 
city in the desert with royals and chiefs of States from 80 countries that cost 
680 million in 1975 dollars.

There was no utter contempt for the mullahs and the tradional way of life that 
was a part of Iran for hundreds of years.
