First it was formalin in fish, now it is dangerous chemicals added to spices, though the latter is nothing new.
Even in my Bombay days, grocers were known to add tiny iron filings to rice and other grains to increase their weight. First it was the D Company (the Dawood Company, a criminal enterprise).
