Dear Dr. Kumar, I wish to report a grave infringement being committed by one of your delivery postmen. This has been going on unchecked for several years, until it was recently brought to the attention of high level staff in the postal department. There is a company, *Ajju Mines and Minerals / Ajju's Group of Companies*, operating out of Victor Palace, Patto, Panjim, which has been involved in many kinds of frauds and has over 30 cases under section 138, 406, 420, 504 and 509 IPC against the company and the proprietor, *Ajju C. S. Sindolli*. As a result of those nefarious activities, that company office gets sent many registered letters from victims, lawyers, courts and the police. *It is now been established that Sindolli has had a longstanding arrangement with the local postman (Malwankar?), that whenever any such "important-looking legal letters" arrive for delivery, they are marked "return to sender"*. The postman visits the office only after 6 pm when he knows it will be closed, and then officially reports: "visited the office, door closed". Obviously, the door will be closed outside office hours! He does not make any further delivery attempt. If you monitor that particular postman and his level of successful deliveries you will find it astonishingly low compared to the large number showing "recipient unavailable". Recently, a high-profile businessman visited your offices and confronted the postman in question, who did indeed confess to all of the above and begged that he not be reported to his superiors. However, despite his assurance to stop this apparently petty corruption, it is now quite evident that the delivery postman is now once again accepting cash payments to act as Ajju Sindolli's mail filter system. No registered mail is currently being delivered to Ajju's Mines & Minerals / Ajju's Group of Companies. Obviously, all of that mail is vitally important to the sender in each case. *I therefore suggest that some very strict action is taken against this erring employee, if only to set an example to others*. These people need to be made to understand that their selfish actions for a relatively small cash reward can have serious repercussions on the outcome of a legal case and, in some cases, it can cost a person their entire livelihood. I trust that you will investigate this matter thoroughly. You will note that this email has been widely circulated and that some of the recipients may hold you accountable for your actions. Yours sincerely, David N. Cleaver (UK)
