Thank you folks for your responses... appreciate all of them.

I am not going to get into "discussion" on semantics quoted. I just wanted to
offer my input on our lives in East Africa to Frederick Noronha, personally
since I keep in touch with him as well as my personal friends with whom I share
my thoughts with (ahem!) not expecting it to turn up on Goanet!! and getting
responses!

However now that it has, am sure those who reflect on the good positive side of
their lives no matter where they were brought up and which helped formulate
their future and careers, makes interesting and good reading for those who want
to share with others.

For me, in my dotage, realised despite not having much in the way of material
things, the book in question did bring back some super memories of my youth
growing up, and made me appreciate a lot hence my email to my pals to reflect
some bits we may have forgotten.

As we age, we can only reflect on our youth and past to keep us going in a
happy positive way eh?
Warm regards
Celia.

Your article tells it as it was. Loved every word of it.

If we all could only have another day in Paradise.

Best wishes,
