Swing Low., Swing High. Well I saw this dangling rope attached sturdily to a branch overhead with a nice handle to the end of it. But this is not for the faint hearted. Lift your legs and it takes you towards midstream. I decided to stay well grounded. As I was about it a bunch of young US men and women were going by the river in their rafts with some testing the waters by jumping into it and being rapidly driven away amidst tiny shrills and giggles. The dog you notice had also been watching the fun for some time. It took me many shots to snap him. He has his style of looking away. Crowds of tourists are also wizzing by as we speak on touristy motor scooters which give off a huge noise breaking the otherwise peaceful silence of this mountainous village. While waiting for my students to show up in their rafts I put down a bowl of hot noodles and beef soup. Hits the spot. Will keep you posted of further developments.
